Storytelling is both magical and natural. It lives within us all. Storytelling is what makes us human.

Stories shape the way we see ourselves and others, the way we move about the world, and the ideas, attitudes, and beliefs that we hold true. They give us permission to dream, to question, to seek and to find.

Stories allow us the freedom to transcend geographic borders and the constraints of time, with the power to take us far away, and yet also give us a place to call home.

Storytelling teaches us who we are and who we want to be, guiding us through what we aspire to, and what we might dare to dream about. Stories give us the language to name ourselves and receive the names of others, so they no longer seem like strangers.

Storytelling allows us to validate, recognise and acknowledge what we hold to be true, while also allowing us the grace to get things wrong, and to learn new and different ways of thinking, acting and being. Storytelling is personal, political, and entertaining, all at once.
